This is the third survey on my site and here are the results:

DELL

Compaq

IBM

HP

As you can see from the above graph, DELL is a dominant player in the database server market, but Compaq is not far behind. If you consider the merger of Comapq and HP, then the new company becomes the dominant player with 44% of database server market.
